Launched in 2010, you’d be forgiven if you’ve already forgotten about DC Comics Earth One imprint.

Designed as almost a DC version of Marvel's Ultimate Universe, the series was launched with Superman: Earth One, a second volume of Superman two years later, and a very delayed Batman: Earth One, also in 2012.

In short, it seemed the imprint was lost to the push of the New 52, and given the response to some of the dramatic character changes, I can’t say fans were missing out.

That said, it looks like Earth One will be returning with a vengeance, as DC has announced bright and early this morning that Teen Titans: Earth One will be the next book in the series.

Focusing on this universe’s version of the classic teen hero team, the book will be written by Jeff Lemire (Animal Man, Trillium), and feature art from Terry Dodson (Harley Quinn).  The talent on the book certainly seems quality enough, and hopefully they can avoid the missteps seen in the prior three Earth One releases.

Look for Teen Titans: Earth One in November 2014, with the long awaited Superman: Earth One Volume 3, Batman: Earth One Volume 2 and Wonder Woman: Earth One hitting in 2015.Â
