“Invincible” has been renewed for Seasons 2 and 3 at Amazon.
The announcement was made on Thursday on Twitter by Robert Kirkman alongside Steven Yeun, who voices the show’s main character. The news comes ahead of the Season 1 finale, which will debut on Amazon on April 30.
Invincible — even with my gripes about certain animated elements at times — has been a hell of a watch. Very much looking forward to the season finale tomorrow, and revisiting the comic series + picking up where I left off before the end.
Based on the beloved DC Comic, and Executive Produced by Susan Downey & Robert Downey Jr., Sweet Tooth is a post-apocalyptic fairytale about a hybrid deer-boy and a wandering loner who embark on an extraordinary adventure. All episodes of Sweet Tooth premiere on June 4, 2021, only on Netflix.
Jeff Lemire’s Sweet Tooth is one of the best, and most underrated comics projects of the past decade or so, and I cannot wait to see how Netflix has brought it to life.
This trailer really feels like the beginning of something special.
There are times when we just don’t want to make decisions. A Friday evening after a long work week. A fridge full of food but nothing jumps out. A family movie night where no one can agree. We’ve all been there.
Sometimes you just want to open Netflix and dive right into a new story. That’s why we’ve created Play Something, an exciting new way to kick back and watch.
When you hit the ‘Play Something’ button, you’ll be instantly met with a series or film we know you’ll love based on what you’ve watched before. Or with one more click you can ‘Play Something Else’ and get:
A brand new series or film,
A series or film you’re already watching,
A series or film on your list, or
An unfinished series or film you may want to revisit.
It’s not a bad idea — and there’s a great Vulture article explaining the gestation of this new feature — but personally, I don’t know how much I’m going to use it.
Personally, I just need the ability to hit random on shows I know and love and would be fine with as background noise (The Simpsons, Seinfeld, Frasier, etc.)
This summer, you’re invited to Portorosso. Watch the new trailer for Disney and Pixar’s Luca and see the film June 18 on Disney+.
Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, Disney and Pixar’s original feature film “Luca” is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: they are sea monsters from another world just below the water’s surface. Directed by Academy Award® nominee Enrico Casarosa (“La Luna”) and produced by Andrea Warren (“Lava,” “Cars 3”), “Luca” releases June 18 on Disney+.
In a word? Lush.
A little bummed that my vaccinated butt won’t be able to see this in a theater proper, but you better believe I’ll be streaming it on Disney+ this June.
Season 2. July 23. Kindness is making a comeback. #TedLasso
Golden Globe® winner Jason Sudeikis is Ted Lasso, an American football coach hired to manage a British soccer team—despite having no experience. But what he lacks in knowledge, he makes up for with optimism, underdog determination…and biscuits.
There were a bunch of announcements during the Apple Event — which I’m sure I will recap once I’m a bit less groggy from my second COVID shot — but this was the one which made me happiest.
