LEGO Super Mario Revealed, and It’s Crazier Than You’d Think

BusinessWire PR:

The LEGO Group announced a partnership with Nintendo that will change the way people interact with Super Mario in the physical world and engage in LEGO® experiences.

Both companies share a passion for innovation and play and their collaboration has led to a reimagination of the LEGO building experience, enabling an entirely new way to play inspired by the beloved video game icon, Super Mario.

Neither a video game nor a traditional LEGO brick-based set, LEGO® Super Mario™ is a new product line that features an interactive LEGO Mario figure who collects coins in real-life game levels created with LEGO bricks. The new line will let kids experience the playful world of Super Mario like never before. Super Mario will be brought to life in the physical LEGO world and new levels of challenge and styles of play will be part of the iconic LEGO experience enjoyed by generations.

Oh my gosh this is crazy. Check out the video!

New Trailer for Disney/Pixar’s SOUL

Joe Gardner is a middle-school band teacher who gets the chance of a lifetime to play at the best jazz club in town. But one small misstep takes him from the streets of New York City to The Great Before – a fantastical place where new souls get their personalities, quirks and interests before they go to Earth. Determined to return to his life, Joe teams up with a precocious soul, 22, who has never understood the appeal of the human experience. As Joe desperately tries to show 22 what’s great about living, he may just discover the answers to some of life’s most important questions.

This looks absolutely gorgeous. From the amazing “real-world” animation, to the abstract “after-life”/“pre-life” visuals, Pixar is pushing their aesthetic storytelling forward for sure with Soul.

But as for the story? Wow – I didn’t think they could top trying to discuss mortality or emotions, but now we’re getting into the very essence of being. Pixar is going to mess up some kids (and provide tears to adults again), I’m sure!

Soul hits theaters on June 19, 2020.

New Trailer and Posters for Disney’s JUNGLE CRUISE

This new trailer feels a bit more serious than the last trailer, which had serious Brendan Fraser The Mummy vibes, but Jungle Cruise will still probably be a super fun summer romp.

New posters – “His” and “Hers” variants hit online today too. Enjoy!

Jungle Cruise hits theaters on July 24, 2020.

BLACK WIDOW Gets a Final Trailer

“At some point we all have to choose between what the world wants you to be and who you are.” Watch the new trailer for Marvel Studios’ #BlackWidow. In theaters May 1.

Still looks like a solid action flick. But will it be stopped in its tracks by Coronavirus like No Time to Die? Stay tuned.
