I unabashedly love this era of Anthony Bourdain-inspired food travel shows.

Whether The Chef Show, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner or the original Ugly Delicious, there’s something I truly admire about these shows which somehow balance the celebration of food as an art, but also break down the cultural barriers of “high end" and “low end" dining.

I truly believe the world is a better place when we can say - confidently - that the finest cut of meat at the best restaurant can be held in a similar regard to a warm pepperoni slice at a mom ’n pop pizza shop. That’s the sweet spot, folks, for any type of “art". Culinary, creative, otherwise - let it all flow together into one great world of appreciation.

Ugly Delicious 2 hits Netflix on March 6, 2020.
