The Verge:

It's here at last: the Amazon Prime Video app is now available for the Apple TV. The app arrives six months after Apple CEO Tim Cook said it would arrive “later this year" and with just days to spare in 2017. The iOS app was just updated to 5.0 as well, adding iPhone X support and universal search. The tvOS version is available to download on Apple TV 3rd generation devices or later. (If don’t see it, try searching for “Amazon Prime Video" on your Apple TV).

On the one hand, I’m excited to get caught up on The Grand Tour and A24 movies.

On the other the lack of integration within the TV app is a bummer. I guess it’s the same concerns which have kept Netflix from integrating?

UPDATE! Per Apple’s official press release, it looks like it IS integrating. Wasn’t working on my TV app earlier, but I just checked my phone, and Prime Video is there!

Prime Video is integrated into the Apple TV app where available, so members can easily find and discover their favorite Amazon shows and movies on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, and also find Amazon content using the Siri Remote and universal search on Apple TV. With the addition of Prime Video, Siri can now search 1.3 million TV episodes and movies on Apple TV.
