Bustin' makes us feel good. As does this trailer.

As promised - the first trailer for the rebooted Ghostbusters hit the web right at 9am EST, and fans - and detractors - alike have flocked to seeing what director Paul Feig has cooked up for this modern re-imagining of the 1984 classic comedy.

This trailer does a good job of setting up our cast without providing the full plot (and I really wanted to see more of Chris Hemsworth’s secretary character, Kevin), but what we see does look good.

Wiig and McCarthy are showing their trademark chemistry, Leslie Jones (while feeling slightly stereotyped) is looking to have a major coming-out party as a comedic powerhouse, and Kate McKinnon is going to be the intriguing weirdo we thought she’d be from the stills. Expect her character, Holtzmann, to hit a cult status across the web by release date, if she hasn’t already.

I was on the fence of rebooting such a beloved film, but it looks like Feig’s done well here, with really cool looking ghosts, and the goofy heart of the original retained.  Add the fact that Spy and Bridesmaids are two of the funniest comedies I’ve seen in theaters in the past 10 years, I’m all in for this.

Ghostbusters hits theaters on July 15, 2016.
