The Spanish Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fan site Retro Tortugas somehow is the first to scoop the world with a look at Playmates action figure line for this Summer’s new film (produced – but NOT directed – by Michael Bay).
This is probably one of the clearest looks we’ve had at the new Turtles, head to toe at least, and honestly, the more I see them, the less I dislike their designs. Each turtle feels unique, and while they’re not “my” TMNT, I could see kids loving them. That said, this is our first real look at Shredder and the Foot Soldiers. I love Shredder’s look (minus the odd cape), but the Foot looks really bland. I guess that’s what they’re supposed to do.
Love that disguised Raph figure, for sure! Look for them on shelves in time for the movie’s August release.
i am a tmnt mark and will probably buy a bunch of these if the articulation is functional. the 07 movie figures couldn’t move at all, but the new cartoon figures are rad. love the varied designs, that was always a good idea.
a william fichtner in a suit toy would be ideal for wave two.
