As always, the super talented poster team at Mondo is working on producing the best posters supporting some of the finest movies, both in popular and cult culture.

This week brings a whole slue of releases, but I thought I’d focus on what I thought were the best of the best of the posters to come.

Tomorrow night, Mondo and the Alamo Drafthouse will host a special screening of the 1981 film Dragonslayer with visual effects producer Phil Tippet in attendance.  Tickets for the screening are going for $60, but that includes (of course) an amazing 24" x 36" poster by JC Richard.

Also tomorrow, a standard poster drop will hit MondoTees.com, including a print for 13 Assassins by Vania Zouravliov.  This 16.75" x 36" print comes in three different colorways, limited to a run of 120 each for $50.

Next, on Friday night, the next in the “Summer of ‘82” screenings from Drafthouse will be Rocky III, so of course there will be a poster, this time coming from Jay Shaw.  This is an 18" x 24" print, limited to a run of 270 for $40.  The posters will first be available to those at the screening, but the remainder will, of course be online.

Finally, on Saturday the 26th, Drafthouse and Mondo are teaming up for a screening of The Iron Giant. This will feature one of my favorite Mondo posters ever, as designed by Laurent Durieux.  The posters will first be on sale at the screening for $60, again, you can that the extras will hit Mondo’s site.

As with all of these posters, keep an eye on Mondo’s website and @MondoNews for proper release information.
