It’s sad to say this, but it’s true.

The amazing Mondo/Lucasfilm collaboration for unique screen printed Star Wars posters is coming to an end.

And when the final posters go on sale on Friday, December 31st, they’re going out with a bang.

Featuring the largest print run yet, with 875 standard editions, and 325 variant editions, these 24"x36" prints feature art from one of Mondo’s best contracted artists, Tyler Stout, who you may remember from his amazing Iron Man, Inglorious Basterds and Blade Runner posters (the latter of which is on my wall at home).

But Mondo didn’t let him just cheap out and do some silly print, oh no. He did three posters - one for each film in the trilogy.

With the exclusive reveal of all 3 prints, UGO also has written an amazing look back at the art of Tyler Stout, which I highly recommend checking out at the source link below, but let’s talk about the main appeal - these AMAZING posters.

Stout always goes the extra mile, adding unique design elements to every inch of the poster, and he hasn’t let up here.  Equally messy yet defined, these posters do a great job of presenting immortal moments from the Classic Trilogy in a style never seen before.

After my loss at getting the Olly Moss posters, I’m definitely going to be F5’ing Mondo’s website to get a crack at these.

Personally, I want the “standard” versions, but the metallic variants are great, even going the extra mile to change Return of the Jedi to it’s original title - Revenge of the Jedi.

These Star Wars prints have been a great celebration of one of most timeless series of films ever, and while I’m sad to see it end, I can’t wait to see what Mondo has up their sleeves next.  I’d imagine whatever it is, it’ll be easier to order, too.
