One of my favorite, underrated comic series of the past few years (OK, it's been like 10 years now) was Young Justice, a spin off of the Justice League of America franchise, featuring Robin, Superboy and Impulse.  It was a fun, fast paced read, and I've wanted to see the franchise revisited since it ended.

Apparently, I’m about to get my wish, in animated form.

Accidently leaked by voice actress Stephanie Lemelin (in a blog post now removed), a new animated series titled Young Justice League will be premiering shortly, featuring - you guessed it, a younger version of the Justice League.  Lemelin will be playing Arrowette (character design seen above), and she’s very excited about it.  Or at least was until she probably got an earful for telling her blog followers about it.

The crack team at comic news & rumor site Bleeding Cool not only got a hold of the post, but got some inside info on the series.  Young Justice League will apparently feature the team of Martian Girl, Aqualad, Nightwing, Impulse, Arrowette, and Connor Kent (Superboy) and will be properly revealed at San Diego Comic Con this summer.

Considering how great Batman: The Brave & The Bold has been, and how great the direct to video DC animated films are, I think this may be another great installment in the great DC cartoon legacy started with the Batman series wayyyy back in ‘92.  Color me excited.
