I think we can all generally agree that Robin Williams might have the most uneven career of anyone in Hollywood.

For all of his great films, like Good Will Hunting, Good Morning Vietnam, One Hour Photo and Dead Poets Society, he gets mired in dreck, like Patch Adams, Jack, Bicentennial Man, RV and countless others.

Looks like his next project, the Bobcat Golthwait helmed World’s Greatest Dad, might be on the better side of the two, with one of the most unique premises I’ve ever heard…

Williams will play a failed writer teaching poetry at the high school. When his teenage son dies during a freak masturbation accident, he tries to cover up the embarrassment by claiming the death was a suicide. When the father's faked suicide note gets attention, he decides to fake an entire journal to get his writing career off the ground.
While the initial gross out nature of the concept is jarring, I do think there could be a really great, dark awkward comedy underneath.  I mean, put yourself in the characters shoes...what would you do in that situation?

Here’s hoping Robin hits it out of the park. I like to see him succeed.
