Were I to list my favorite directors working today, Duncan Jones would be on it - alongside Edgar Wright, Guillermo del Toro, and Christopher Nolan, among many others I’m sure I’m forgetting.

Jones first grabbed my attention with Moon, an incredible, unique sci-fi film which quickly became one of my favorites of all time.

He has long suggested that a psuedo-sequel, titled Mute, would be coming one day, and finally, next month, thanks to Netflix, it comes to life.

Here’s how Netflix describes it:

Welcome to Berlin 2052 - where dreams come true and man comes undone.

Prepare yourself for MUTE, a new Netflix Original Film by visionary director Duncan Jones, starring Alexander SkarsgÁ¥rd, Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux. Streaming only on Netflix February 23.

Not a lot there, but with Skarsgard as the mute protagonist, beautiful Blade Runner-esq visuals, and a mystery in play, I will be there on February 23rd to take it all in.

Mute arrives exclusively on Netflix on February 23, 2018.
