Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the creative minds behind The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street, bring their unique talents to a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a groundbreaking visual style that’s the first of its kind. “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.

I didn’t expect to see any sign of this movie for some time, let alone a year out.

I’m very excited for Miles Morales to get the mainstream play he deserves, and the visual style showcased here is both innovative and arresting.

I wonder if the title indicates we’ll be seeing other alternate Spider-People (Spider-Gwen, anyone?).

Of note for animation nerds, Alex Hirsch (Gravity Falls) is one of the story writers for this film. A great sign, for sure.
