This week is “upfront” week, where the networks show off their new programs to gain advertisers, and in turn we’ve been getting a lot of new trailers.

For the most part, the slate of new shows coming to television for the 2015-2016 season left me cold. Honestly - that’s been true of me with television lately, anyway. Yes, the great shows are better than ever, but the shows I really make time for are few and far between. Basically - if it’s not an original show on HBO or Netflix, I really haven’t been watching it regularly.

My hopes were dashed after watching the preview for Fox’s Minority Report adaptation, which did nothing for me. But ABC’s new The Muppets show? This looks GREAT.

Yes, they’re aping the docu-series feel found in The Office, Parks And Recreation and Modern Family, but it just feels so right for these characters - who, even as puppets, still feel more alive than the casts of the majority of shows on TV.

I’ll be watching the heck out of this on ABC this Fall. Anything grab you for the 2015-2016 season?
