Noted tech blog AllThingsD says that Apple fans should circle October 22nd on their calendar.

According to their sources, this will be the date for the Fall iPad event, where not only will we see the next generation iPad, but also its related iPad Mini cohort.

One would also assume this event is where we find out the exact release dates for the new Mac Pro and OS X Mavericks, but as this is just a rumor at this time, anything can and will happen.
