Don’t get too excited about the future of Arrested Development after the return fourth season hitting Netflix this May, fans!

According to Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, Season 4 will be the one and only season to be put together by the streaming online video service.  Sayeth Hastings, the season was a “one-off” scenario that was put together under “non-repeatable" circumstances.

Much has been said about the difficulties to get the cast together for the show, so much so that the series was written around the idea of not having all the cast members together at once.  Considering the busy schedules of all of the cast since Arrested Development, I can only imagine that this season was a scheduling nightmare, let alone a second.

But don’t fret too much, Bluth backers! We’ll have 14 brand new episodes of the series in May, and if show creator Mitch Hurwitz has his way - this will lead into an eventual feature.
