As amazing and wonderful as the current state of LEGO releases is, the dedication of custom builders greatly outdoes any retail set.  And few creations match the size, scope and effort seen in this custom LEGO Batcave.

Carlyle Livingston II and Wayne Hussey dedicated 800 working hours over a 3 month period to create this Batcave, which is made of 20,000 different pieces and weighs over 100 pounds. The eye for detail is simply stunning - multiple bat cycles, motorized elements including a mechanism to raise the batcopter and a turntable for the Batmobile, a custom batcomputer and appropriately moody lighting, this is just an incredible build.
