Take one of my favorite websites (Onion’s AV Club), pair them with one of my favorite bands (Ted Leo & The Pharmacists), and then make that band play one of my favorite songs of the 1980s, and honestly, it was a lock that I had to post about it here.
But what makes this project, titled Uncovered, so cool is that this is the first of 25 videos, wherein different bands will choose from a list of songs selected by the Onion team, and then perform them for the interweb!
There should be new videos every week, so I think I have a brand new addiction.
This summer is going to be huge for a Scott Pilgrim fan like me, between the release of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World in theaters, and the final volume of the comic on shelves nationwide, but this week seems to be all about the tease!
As you can see above, at Showest this week, Universal Pictures unveiled the first teaser poster for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and they were kind enough to not only release a high-rez version on their website, but (It’s totally my background right now.)
What makes this poster even better, however, is that it’s ripped straight from the title page for the first volume of the comic! Check out the image below. And heck, you have to love that tagline.
Speaking of the comic, Bryan Lee O’Malley has continued to toy with his fans via his Twitter account regarding both the film and Volume 6, but today, he made a promise to deliver!
, this coming Friday, March 19th, he will reveal the title, release date and yes, the cover image of Scott Pilgrim Volume 6. To add to the hype, he also released the below mosaic’d image of the cover.
What can you make out? Either way, I’ll be sure to post the details come Friday.
Either way, this is a great time to be a fan, and I can’t wait to see what comes out of the Scott Pilgrim world next!
It’s the return of the most awkward talk show on the internet as Zach Galifianakis takes on Ben Stiller in this ultra confrontational episode of Between Two Ferns. You thought the Conan/Leno Wars made for awkward TV? Zach is back to remind us how uncomfortable a talk show can be.
I’d say more, but it’d spoil the fun, so just click play and enjoy!
