I’m not going to like, I am loving the YouTube based resurgence of The Muppets.

And apparently, the creators of these new shorts love the internet too.

Without giving anything away, this video explores how well they know the new world of YouTube, and has a great song.

I give you – “Beaker’s Ballad”.

Here in Baltimore, we’re dealing with record breaking snowfall, so I’ve been somewhat stir crazy.

So I read this story today and…it kinda hurt my head.

And I re read it. And I re read it.

And eventually, it was like sniffing glue, the idea was so awesome.

I’ll break it down to the simple idea.

Universal Pictures wants to remake Jaws.

In 3D.

With Tracy Morgan as the lead.

AWESOME.

I’ll see it 32 times!

Christopher Nolan, probably the most important director in Warner Bros’ roster since he directed the record breaking Batman sequel The Dark Knight, is now looking to be guiding the hopes and dreams of another DC character.

In surprise news coming out of Hollywood, now that Nolan is working on post production for his Summer release Inception, he not only is working on a script for a 3rd Batman movie, but he is also going to be “mentoring” the development of the next Superman film.

While I’m not sure that Nolan is the best person for the Superman style or aesthetic, I think he has a great knack for translating a comic book to the theatrical world, giving fantastical tales an element of necessary realism.

I’m pleased that he’s not the director for the Superman film, but I certainly think this is a risk taking and eyebrow raising move from Warner Bros.

Will it pan out? We’ll find out soon enough – Warner Bros has to be working on a new Superman film by 2011.
