toy-story-3

Straight from the magic makers of Pixar is this latest still from 2010′s Toy Story 3.

This so called “full cast” shot shows the cast looking over their new ‘home’, the pre-school which Andy donates them to, as he’s headed to college.

One question though…where the heck is Bo-Peep?! AND WHAT HAPPENED TO MRS. POTATO HEAD’S EYE?!

All this and more will be answered when Toy Story 3 hits theaters on June 18th.

As always (if I have big enough, that is), click for high-rez.

batmancowlgraphook

Hard to believe, but this summer marked TWENTY YEARS since the release of Tim Burton’s Batman starring Michael Keaton as the Dark Knight.

As I was 5 then, the movie BLEW MY MIND, and ultimately probably made me who I am today. (Hear that, future ex-girlfriends, it’s Tim Burton’s fault!)

So, once I read that Toynami are making replicas of two of the most important “gadgets” from the film, Batman’s Cowl and trusty Grappling Hook.

These replicas are based on the Batman Returns cowl and hook, but they’re still awesome either way.  No exact release date or price on these babies, but given that they’re limited to 500 pieces worldwide, I imagine it falls under the old rule of “if you have to ask, it’s too much.”

Either way, these are awesome. And leave my wallet crying.

ironman2whiplashposter

You know, with a 3rd poster release in under 2 weeks, I’m having a hard time writing new posts for each one.

So let’s go with the basics.

This is another poster for Iron Man 2. Unlike the last two, which featured Iron Man (with War Machine in the US teaser poster), we now have a look at Mickey Rourke as Whiplash. Based on the background of the poster, it seems he has a terrible obsession with one Mr. Tony Stark.

And based on the way posts here are going, you’re going to think I do too.

Can we just get a trailer now, gang?! Click the poster for big.

flight_of_the_conchords

In an announcement that shouldn’t surprise many who followed the behind the scenes difficulties of the second season of the show, Flight of the Conchords have officially announced their HBO series will not be returning for a third season, and is effectively, canceled. Here’s how they announced it on their site:

Bret, Jemaine and James (co-creator/director) said “we’ve noticed the less we say about the future of the show, the more people want to talk about it, so in an effort to reverse this trend we are today announcing that we won’t be returning for a 3rd season. We’re very proud of the two seasons we made and we like the way the show ended. We’d like to thank everyone who helped make the show and also everyone who watched it. While the characters Bret and Jemaine will no longer be around, the real Bret and Jemaine will continue to exist.

It’s a total bummer, as the main issue when writing the second season was creating new songs for each episode, where as the first season was written around years-old, road tested material.  I personally would’ve been fine with a song-less third season, focusing on the band as characters, but alas, Bret and Jemaine have decided to close the curtain.

Best of luck to the Conchords gang. I’m sure whatever they do next will be awesome. And hey, if you loved the show, the DVDs still exist!

Yes, that’s right. Mega Man 10. Not Mega Man X, Mega Man 10.

Fresh off of the success of last year’s downloadable eight bit opus, Mega Man 9, Capcom has officially announced a 10th 2-D installment in the beloved shooter series.

What makes this one special?  Well, for starters, Proto Man is selectable from the start, as one of two alternate character to play as other than the Blue Bomber himself. (The third character has yet to be revealed.)  In addition, probably in response to everyone and their brother crying about the difficulty of MM9, a selectable “Easy Mode” will be available from the start.

What has me really excited, though? Possibly the wackiest boss so far. This time around, feel the terror of….Sheep Man!

Mega Man 10 will be downloadable on a system near you (with the AWESOME above art) in 2010.
