Think of your favorite heroes from TV, movies, comics, etc.
What would make them more awesome?
You guessed it. Beards.
And that’s the focus of this amazing series of illustrations by talented artist Vanja Mrgan.
I can’t stop laughing at these, and hopefully you’ll love them too. I could see this becoming a great meme. I wonder if Vanja realizes what they’ve started…
As a part of their 20th Anniversary celebration, super awesome UK based movie magazine Empire conducted the photoshoot to end all photoshoots.
Featuring some of the most important actors of their two decades of publishing, it features these actors in some of their most ironic roles.
I’ve included the image of Simon Pegg & Nick Frost above (for, of course, Shaun of the Dead), but the full gallery includes images with Sam Neill, Anthony Hopkins, Christian Bale, Mel Gibson, and yes, the Governator himself – Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Believe me when I tell you…you’re gonna want to click through for this.
When Zombieland hit screens this past October, I was pleasantly surprised.
After years of terrible zombie movies, or those which were half-assed rehashes of other zombie films, or good flicks that were technically not zombie movies (sorry, 28 Weeks Later), Zombieland was probably the first great zombie flick since Shaun of the Dead. And audiences agreed, making Zombieland the highest grossing zombie film of all time.
So between that, and knowing that there were literally dozens of ideas available, it shouldn’t come as too much a surprise that Zombieland 2 has officially been announced by Sony Pictures.
Here’s the catch, though. IT’S GONNA BE IN 3D!
That’s right, we’re gonna see Woody Harrelson beat the crap out of zombies in three glorious dimensions.
If you need some gross out goodness in 3D before ZL2′s thus far unannounced release date, don’t worry. MTV announced that filming on Jackass 3D starts on January 25th for a 2010 release. Fun.
