One of my favorite internet video series has to be by far, Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifinakis.

Featuring the fantastically awkward bearded comedian as the host of his own talk show, these videos make for, by far and large, the most uncomfortable interviews of all time.

This latest installment, the seventh in the series, doesn’t let up as Zach welcomes Conan O’Brien to the stage located between two houseplants.

I won’t spoil any of the gags for you, but I can say…I want that red button. You’ll know what I mean when you see it.

I guess this is slowly becoming Left 4 Dead week here at Blast-O-Rama, but given the timing, who can blame?

I mean, Left 4 Dead 2 just launched yesterday, and were it not for some massive lag issues on XBox Live, I’d say it was a great launch.

So, you’re probably already wondering, especially if you’re a hardcore L4D player – what’s next?

Well, while Valve hasn’t said anything about say Left 4 Dead 3, independent programmer Eric Ruth has decided to take a step back. A step way back. A step into…an 8-Bit Styled Left 4 Dead.  A video of the gameplay is embedded above, and looks pretty amazing.  Mr. Ruth also did an interview with gaming site BigDownload.com, which can be read here, and gives insight into the developmental process so far.

8-Bit Left 4 Dead is scheduled to be available for PC download in January 2010.
