Just when you think they’ve made every possible bit of Star Wars Merchandise, the Japanese go and surprise you.

Created by master toy makers Kotobukiya, these Lightsaber Chopsticks come in both Darth Vader (linked below) and Luke Skywalker varieties, and to get the whole family in the act, each set of 9″ chopsticks comes with an additional pair of 8″ Yoda lightsaber chopsticks for the kids.

They’re available for pre-order now, at just $20 a pair.  I’m not gonna say too much, but a certain blogger’s birthday is coming up, and between these links and that Amazon Wish List on the right…

Yeah, you get the idea. :)

One of my favorite games this year thus far has definitely been Street Fighter IV.

Taking the classic gameplay seen in II, adding the refinements from III, and adding a bit of next-gen shine, it was (and is) a stunning game both to look at and play.

But it should come as no surprise that Capcom has officially announced the upgrade, the predictably titled Super Street Fighter IV.

Due to hit consoles in Spring 2010, the game strives to affirm that it need not be DLC with a whopping EIGHT new characters (including classic characters Dee Jay, T-Hawk and newbie Juri), new balancing, and predictably new stages.

Before you flip out, however, Capcom has made 2 promises…

1. The game will NOT be sold for full price.

2. SFIV owners should hold onto their game, as a DLC surprise is coming.

Personally, if the game comes in at $40 or below ($30 would be perfect), I’d definitely consider the pickup, as the game seems to address one of my issues, namely in 25 playable characters, the perceivable lack of depth in the roster.

Guess we’ll find out next year if it’s worth the dough.  I’ve included a slue of screenshots below for you to check out, thanks to the gang at Gamespot.

Another glimpse at a great game comes to us from the Tokyo Game Show as we finally have a complete look at the long anticipated Final Fantasy XIII.

Full of action, transforming summons, wacky outfits, and epic score, this trailer is sure to leave you waiting for the December 2009 Japanese, and Spring 2010 US release.

Personally, I haven’t been too jazzed for an FF in a few revisions, so I think it’s a good thing that Square had a few false starts with this one. Here’s hoping the gameplay lives up to the hype!

This past weekend at the Tokyo Game Show, fans and journalists alike were pleased to finally get their hands on Dead Rising 2.

Dead Rising 2, the much anticipated sequel to the great-but-flawed Dead Rising takes the originals penchant towards destroying hundreds of on screen zombies at a time and cranks it to eleven, adding a multiplayer mode and weapon combining.

While I could talk about the plot of the game (it involves your character being entered into a zombie survival reality show in Las Vegas), I think what you really want to see is the in-game carnage with weapon combining.

Thanks to Kotaku, I’ve embedded 4 videos below, including…THE RAKE SHOTGUN.

Dead Rising 2 is due to hit next year.
