Atom.com: Funny Videos | Atom Originals | MegaBot

As a kid growing up, I would dream of being a part of an amazing super robot piloting team, like those seen in Voltron and Power Rangers.

Well, apparently, it’s MUCH harder than it looks.  Or at least that’s the premise of the hilarious new online series Megabot.

Click play above. You wont regret it.

A Blast From The Past: MARVEL MANIA Restaurant Menu

With Marvel now being owned by Disney, fanboys everywhere are wondering if the Mouse House will end up exploiting the Marvel license in ways unseen.

Seems they have a limited memory though, as Marvel has always pushed their name on anything they could, and between the glorious years of 1998 and 2000, this included a short lived restaurant, called Marvel Mania.

Over at Comic Book Resourced, they’ve uncovered the menu for the Universal City based restaurant, and it’s full of terrible comic puns, as you’d expect.

It featured appetizers like Gambit’s Ragin’ Cajun Quesadillas, entrees like Archangel Hair Pasta and Doc Ock’s Wok stir fry, but the real draw had to be the desert known as THE GALACTUS.

The Galactus, surely a destroyer of worlds, is described as such:

You’ll need to be the devourer of worlds to tackle this titan.  Twelve scoops of ice cream topped with marshmallow, hot fudge, raspberry and caramel sauce; nuts, cherries and whipped cream.  A titanic treat, perfect for any party or Super Hero family.

All that could’ve been yours for just $35.

Honestly, reading over this menu has me hoping another Marvel themed restaurant in the works.  At the least, we get a new awesomely illustrated menu!  Click through the link below for more of a look at the restaurant, including photos of the Mark Bagley illustrated menu.

So How’s The Script For PREDATORS Comin’ Along?

predator

Remember that kind of awesome sounding Predator reboot to be helmed by Robert Rodriguez, Predators?

Well, the gang at Latino Review (who seem to be getting many an exclusive lately) got a hold of what seems to be the shooting script for the flick, and posted a video review of it (linked below, full of spoilers of course).

How does it sound? Pretty awesome.

The script revolves around an Inglorious Basterds-esq crew of rag tag soldiers dropped onto an alien jungle planet, the intent being to hunt the alien species on that planet.

I’m sure you can guess that the aliens are the Predators, and the soliders end up not being the hunters…but the hunted!

In addition to the normal predators, we’ll also see advanced subspecies of the classic weird-mouthed aliens, including what is described as a “Super Black Predator”.

All and all, the flick sounds like a super fun, hard-R, bloody romp in the jungle, and I can think of no one better to oversee such a flim than Rodriguez. At least it will be better than Shorts. I hope.

SUPER Street Fighter 4 Is Coming…Raise Your Hand If You’re Surprised.

500x_deejay

One of my favorite games this year thus far has definitely been Street Fighter IV.

Taking the classic gameplay seen in II, adding the refinements from III, and adding a bit of next-gen shine, it was (and is) a stunning game both to look at and play.

But it should come as no surprise that Capcom has officially announced the upgrade, the predictably titled Super Street Fighter IV.

Due to hit consoles in Spring 2010, the game strives to affirm that it need not be DLC with a whopping EIGHT new characters (including classic characters Dee Jay, T-Hawk and newbie Juri), new balancing, and predictably new stages.

Before you flip out, however, Capcom has made 2 promises…

1. The game will NOT be sold for full price.

2. SFIV owners should hold onto their game, as a DLC surprise is coming.

Personally, if the game comes in at $40 or below ($30 would be perfect), I’d definitely consider the pickup, as the game seems to address one of my issues, namely in 25 playable characters, the perceivable lack of depth in the roster.

Guess we’ll find out next year if it’s worth the dough.  I’ve included a slue of screenshots below for you to check out, thanks to the gang at Gamespot.

Final Fantasy XIII Trailer May Not Be In English, But It Sure Is AWESOME!

Another glimpse at a great game comes to us from the Tokyo Game Show as we finally have a complete look at the long anticipated Final Fantasy XIII.

Full of action, transforming summons, wacky outfits, and epic score, this trailer is sure to leave you waiting for the December 2009 Japanese, and Spring 2010 US release.

Personally, I haven’t been too jazzed for an FF in a few revisions, so I think it’s a good thing that Square had a few false starts with this one. Here’s hoping the gameplay lives up to the hype!

4 New DEAD RISING 2 Videos Showcase Weapons, Gore and Glee!

This past weekend at the Tokyo Game Show, fans and journalists alike were pleased to finally get their hands on Dead Rising 2.

Dead Rising 2, the much anticipated sequel to the great-but-flawed Dead Rising takes the originals penchant towards destroying hundreds of on screen zombies at a time and cranks it to eleven, adding a multiplayer mode and weapon combining.

While I could talk about the plot of the game (it involves your character being entered into a zombie survival reality show in Las Vegas), I think what you really want to see is the in-game carnage with weapon combining.

Thanks to Kotaku, I’ve embedded 4 videos below, including…THE RAKE SHOTGUN.

Dead Rising 2 is due to hit next year.

Little Big WATCHMEN

Of all the movies released this year, which would you expect to be the one with an add-on for PlayStation 3 platformer Little Big Planet?

Maybe a Sackboy Carl Fredricksen from Up? Perhaps he’ll be chased by giant meatballs from Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs? Or Bob the Blob from Monsters vs. Aliens would make an appearance?

Well, all of those are wrong. Instead, as you can see above, Sony has decided to expand Little Big Planet with tools, stickers and sackboy costumes from the dark, gory, blue dong showing hard R adaptation of the comic book classic Watchmen!

Below, is the official trailer for this add-on set, and I think I might just pick it up for the sheer surreal nature of it all.

The Little Big Planet Watchmen add-on content will be available this Thursday, October 1st in the PlayStation Store.
