So the guys at the amazing 12 inch “collector’s figure” company Hot Toys went a little Dark Knight crazy last year, releasing figures of the Joker, Batman, and even the “Bank Robber” version of the Joker.

Creating premium figures at a premium price, Hot Toys figures typically feature insanely accurate sculpting, stunning paint work, beautiful costuming, and generally serve as objects of nerd lust.

Apparently, this wasn’t enough for Hot Toys, as later this year, they’re releasing their first “deluxe” figure, the MMS DX The Joker.

As you can see above, the sculpt of the figure is OUT OF THIS WORLD, and to add value, the figure also includes an alternate costume and head sculpt, so you can recreate the moment when the Joker tried to cause his special brand of chaos at Commissioner Loeb’s funeral.

I’ve included a ton of pics in the gallery below to demonstrate how insane this figure is.  THE EYEBALLS EVEN MOVE.

The MMS DX The Joker figure should retail in the $150-$200 range when it releases later this year.

Ah, Summer.  You’re so close I can taste you.

And what do I love more than Summer Movie Season?  SUMMER SLURPEE SEASON!

And what makes that even better? SUMMER MOVIE SLURPEES!

As anyone who has been to my house can attest, I tend to collect the Slurpee cups that get released every summer relative to a major summer movie, but it shames me to say that I may’ve found the first bunch of cups I’ll be ignoring.

Surprise, Surprise, it’s the movie with so many leaks it needs a dedicated plumber, X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Seriously, look at those cups. They freaking suck!  Who on earth wants Naked Logan in a Bathtub on their cup?!  Oh, and this Mutant Berry flavor they’re pushing? Sounds like ass.  In reality, it’s what’s called Hawaiian Punch Berry Limeade Blast, and that doesn’t sound good at all.

I guess it’ll just be regular slurpees for me.

Ok, so so far, we know next nothing about Christopher Nolan‘s next film, a sci-fi actioner called Inception.

Sure, we have the vague plot outline of “a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind”, and we know Leo DiCaprio is going to star, but really…what does that tell us? NOTHING!

Well, they just announced that Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later, Sunshine, Batman Begins) and Ellen Page (Juno) signed on to co-star.

While I’m excited to see both in the movie, this still leaves us with nothing.

So to make a guess, I’m going to formulate a plot, using these actors prior roles….

I think it’ll have to do with a con-man (DiCaprio) who uses multiple fake identities and counterfeit cash to make his way onto a zombie filled plane/boat set to leave from America that hits an iceberg, leaving DiCaprio stranded with a crazy murderer (Murphy) and a snarky teen (Page)…oh, and Batman.

No?  If not that, I’ll just rest that with a track record including The Prestige, Memento, The Dark Knight and Batman Begins, Nolan will NOT make a shitty flick. Inception, I’ll be seeing you next summer.

I really hoped that this one would pan out to be an April Fool’s gag, but unfortunately, no, this is real.

Announced at the end of Sony’s press conference at ShoWest (the yearly trade show for movie theater owners), is that the Men in Black franchise will be returning for a third installment, currently scheduled for Summer 2011.

This announcement came as a shock basically, well, everyone in the industry, as literally nothing is signed.  Just a set date.  Jones? Not signed. Smith? Not signed. Writer? Nope. Director? Hell naw.

What really bugs me about this is that the movie, like most summer blockbusters, is instead being put together with a date in mind, as opposed to letting the film develop naturally.  And honestly, does anyone really want a 3rd Men in Black film?  I really enjoyed the first film, but the sequel was so terrible that the only enjoyment I ever derived from it was it’s theme song “Black Suits Comin’”, which appeared hilariously on an ex-girlfriend’s mixtape.  Aside from that moment of comedy, MiB2 sucked, and I can’t see 3 being much better.

Sony, you’re putting an unnecessary threequel out in a summer filled with Spider-Man, Harry Potter, Captain America and your own Ghostbusters relaunch.  Good freaking luck.
