…with the new trailer for the soon-to-be-indie-kid fave, 500 Days of Summer.
As the trailer shows, the pitch is pretty easy: Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who is becoming quite the actor) believes in true love. So of course, he falls head over heels for Summer (the lovely Ms. Deschanel), who doesn’t believe in true love. The catch? By the time you meet the characters in this movie, they’ve split up. In turn, Tom decides to look over the 500 days of their courtship to figure out where things went right and wrong.
This was one of the big buzz movies coming out of Sundance, and gained even more momentum after screenings last week at SXSW. Either way, I’m completely sold by the trailer.
500 Days of Summer is due to hit theaters on July 17, 2009.
