In very exciting news, Disney has finally announced the US release date of the next Studio Ghibli film, titled Ponyo on the Cliff by The Sea.
Released last Summer in Japan, Ponyo, the latest animated film directed by masterful artist Hayao Miyazaki, will hit theaters on August 14th, 2009.
Miyazaki’s latest film, his followup to Howl’s Moving Castle features a fish person, and an American voice cast including such notables as Tina Fey. Check out the trailer above.
