One of the games I always found frustrating yet interesting growing up was A Boy and His Blob on the original Nintendo.
Apparently, word got to video game developers that I like having my childhood resold to me, as A Boy and His Blob is headed to the Nintendo Wii.
But worry not, dear reader, it’s not your typical upgrade for the Wii. This looks like it’s got some of the ol’ Nintendo magic. The early screenshots (one above, the rest at the link below) showcase a breathtaking 2D style, which has me very excited. More games need to return to the 2D look, it’s a great change of pace from our current green-brown roided out character design look this generation.
A Boy and His Blob is due for the Wii this year. Maybe I’ll get past Level 3 this time.
