Welp, I upgraded to WordPress 2.7 earlier today, and I discovered that there’s an update called “Press This”, which could serve as a replacement for my trusty “QuickPost” bookmarklet.

Either way, I wanted to test it’s capabilities with embedding video, so you get the current obsession around the Ghostfreehood Alliance offices, The Lonely Island’s ode to riding a nautical vehicle, “On A Boat!” (Heads up on salty language)

Just when you thought you’d seen it all, behold the future of advertising…KITTEHS

That’s right, to advertise the release of the spooky first person shooter F.E.A.R. 2 in the UK, an innovative ad-firm has decided to put tiny black t-shirts on black cats and let them loose in malls and other public places to get the word out.  You can’t make this up, folks.

Coming soon: Resident Evil 5 Armadillos and Street Fighter 4 Platypi.

Yeah, I know, this is almost a week old, but this is the first version of the video I’ve seen with a decent audio mix (which is key, given the FREAKING MARCHING BAND).

Never the less, from Sunday’s Grammys…here’s Radiohead and the USC Marching Band with the damndest version of “15 Step” you ever did hear.

Well, we knew eventually they’d start selling comics to the web…and I can’t say I like the look of these too much.

Marvel’s not really reinventing the wheel with their new line of “motion comics”, following in the footsteps of the 60′s Marvel cartoons (which used similar technology) and the more recent DC motion comics for Watchmen.

But let’s be honest, these just look….bizarre.  Jerky motion, unnatural animation.  It kinda freaks me out.  I will give Marvel the extra point for using different voice actors, unlike DC, who uses one voice actor as narrator and entire cast.

Here’s a suggestion:  Marvel, you want to get comics on the web legally?  You want people reading your comics on the iPhone and iPod touch? Why don’t you team up with uClick on their GoComics player?  Just a suggestion.

Here’s an interesting rumor for your Wednesday morning…

In this post Dark Knight world, Warner Bros is obviously working around the clock to decide which DC Comics property to send surging onto the silver screen.

Thus far, the two most likely candidates have been Green Lantern, and the subject of this post…The Flash.

The Flash has been long rumored to make it’s way to cinemas, at one point attached to Ryan “Gonna Be Deadpool” Reynolds, as part of a generation spanning trilogy.

The latest rumors?  Put Doogie Houser MD himself, Neil Patrick Harris, in the classic red and yellow garb of Barry Allen and Wally West.

Personally, I’m all for it.  Neil Patrick Harris has spent this past decade building quite the name for himself, turning his Doogie run into a gag with the Harold & Kumar films, doing a great episode of SNL, and being hands down the best part of the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother.

…Course, it doesn’t hurt that Harris voiced the Flash (and quite well) in the direct-to-dvd adapation of Justice League: The New Frontier.

Should be interesting to see how this one develops.
