Beware All: The iPhone is KING!

Officially announced this morning…the iPhone is the king of ALL phones, having officially surpased the RAZR as the best selling phone in the United States.

Very interesting to hear, as I still don’t personally see the iPhone as a ubiquideous device, but it speaks volumes about how we as a country now see cellphones.  We’ve gone from the phone being a tool for vocal comunication, and now as a country we’ve chosen an all-in-one device, giving us voice, text, audio, internet and wayyy more in the palm of our hand.

How do I think they did it? Personally, I blame the great new ads Apple’s been showcasing as of late, each demonstrating the use of a different app, including the restaurant finding Urbanspoon, and music-discovery tool Shazam.

Hell, I’ve even given serious thought about jumping to AT&T in early ’09, just to get my sweaty palms on one.  We shall see.

From the WTF File: DDR – THE MUSICAL!

I’m far from one to shit all over the popularity of everyone’s favorite dance simulator, Dance Dance Revolution, but this is ridiculous.

According to TheaterMania.com, production and casting has begun on a full-fledged DDR musical.

I’ve seen the rather furvent nature of the DDR fanbase, but are they really looking for a “sophomoric comedy” that fuzes the pinache of Flashdance with the “death sports” of Rollerball?

Look, I’m all for the music games craze that started with Dance Dance Revolution (and brought me my current obcession of Rock Band), but seriously, this is heading towards shark jumping territory.

Thanks, but no thanks, producers.

The Greatest Battle Ever…Could Be On Your Chest

Straight from last week’s new batch of Threadless shirts, comes possibly the greatest design they’ve ever printed.

Ninjas.

For me, this is possibly the greatest combination since someone put their chocolate in someone else’s peanut butter.
