Words can’t really define the bad ass here. Here comes another awesome Summer in ’09!
EDIT, 3/21/08 – 6:18am:
Now with a 2nd image from USA Today! (That’s Ray ‘Darth Maul’ Park under there, btw)

It’s been said many times that men just don’t understand women.
Now, we have SCIENCE! to back that up.
According to a study performed by the Indiana University’s Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, us gentlemen just have ZERO idea what exactly you ladies are up to…
More often than not, guys interpret even friendly cues, such as a subtle smile from a gal, as a sexual come-on, and a new study discovers why: Guys are clueless.
More precisely, they are somewhat oblivious to the emotional subtleties of non-verbal cues, according to a new study of college students.
“Young men just find it difficult to tell the difference between women who are being friendly and women who are interested in something more,” said lead researcher Coreen Farris of Indiana University’s Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences.
This “lost in translation” phenomenon plays out in the real world, with about 70 percent of college women reporting an experience in which a guy mistook her friendliness for a sexual come-on, Farris said.
Some might think the results come down to “boys being boys,” and so even the slightest female interest sparks sexual fantasy. But the study, to be detailed in the April issue of the journal Psychological Science, also found that it goes both ways for guys — they mistake females’ sexual signals as friendly ones. The researchers suggest guys have trouble noticing and interpreting the subtleties of non-verbal cues, in either direction.
This ladies, is why you need to just tell us things. The .

I can’t say I’m a Buffy/Angel fan, but between Firefly and his run on X-Men, I’m decidedly ghey over Joss Whedon.
That being said, whenever he announces a new project, my ears perk up.
His latest…might be the most interesting.
It’s the musical tale of a super-villain….DOCTOR HORRIBLE’S SING-ALONG BLOG!
…
So…..
The bag is catless.
During the strike I started writing a musical intended as a limited internet series, 3 episodes of approximately 10 minutes each. Writing with me was my brother Jed, his fiancee Maurissa, and my other brother Zack. To my shock and surprise, we finished it. To my greater shock and surprise, we managed (with the help of many people I’ll be praising at length soon) to drag it into preproduction (yes, just as DOLLHOUSE was given a start date two months away and all my comics were due.) And today, after a grueling week of writing everything ever while trying to be a producer, I got to start shooting. A musical.
This much I will say: It’s the story of a low-rent super-villain, the hero who keeps beating him up, and the cute girl from the laundromat he’s too shy to talk to. And I’m having the time of my life.
“DOCTOR HORRIBLE’S SING-ALONG BLOG”

More Fillion goodness? NPH hamming it up as a super villain? The (hey, that’s a good last name!) as a cute girl? INTERNET?! Sounds like a sweet deal.

I’m a recent convert to Battlestar Galactica, and it seems I’m just in time.
Season 3 hit DVD this week, the 4th and final season hits SciFi Channel next month, and they’ve announced that a 2-hour pilot for a prequel series, entitled Caprica is on it’s way.
Caprica, a two-hour pilot that takes place 50 years before BSG, has been given the green light. As the Galactica stars were gearing up to come on stage, (executive producer David) Eick was setting up meetings to start casting and continue planning. The show will begin production this spring and will air in the fall.
There’s much more, including details on Season 4 at the heavily-spoiler filled Wired article .
In case you haven’t jumped on the Galactica party bus yet, I do recommend it. As someone who has avoided similar sci-fi TV series such as Stargate and Babylon 5 due to their rather hokey and at times off-putting presentation, it’s a breath of fresh air to see a series that takes what could be a really cheesy concept with the utmost seriousness, adding an air of 24-style political drama and paranoia to the settings. Check out the DVDs, totally worth it.
